Reuben Doupé serves as a partner in the Family and Marital division at Coleman, Taylor, Klaus, Doupé, Diaz & Torrez, P.A. His practice is concentrated on marital and family law matters. He has been licensed with the Florida Bar since 2003, having received his Juris Doctorate in 2002 with High Honors from the University of Florida. In law school, Reuben received recognition in academic achievement through admission into the Order of the Coif and was presented the Book Award in Legal Accounting.  

Thus far in his career, Mr. Doupé has earned several distinctions, including being Board Certified in Marital and Family Law by the Florida Bar since 2009. He is also an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell® and one of the few attorneys in Southwest Florida admitted to both the International Academy of Family Lawyers and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, two organizations which aim to uphold high standards of professionalism and excellence in family law. Mr. Doupé has also been recognized as SuperLawyers ® and Florida Trend magazine Legal Elite. 

Mr. Doupé has and continues to dedicate himself to his professional endeavors by being involved with the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar as well as the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), where he is a Past President of the Chapter. With the Family Law Section, Mr. Doupé is completing his third and final term as a member of the Executive Council and has previously been heavily involved in committee work and committee leadership.      

Mr. Doupé is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education seminars across Florida. The most prestigious presentations occur at the Annual Certification Review Seminar, sponsored by the Florida Bar Family Law Section and the Florida Chapter of the AAML, where he has previously presented on numerous topics. He has also co-presented in multiple webinars on topics such as the Changing Law on the Enforcement of Prenuptial Agreement, Proper Joinder of Third Parties in a Divorce Action, as well as an annual Case Law Update for Florida’s family law practitioners. Finally, Reuben was published in the Florida Bar Journal in November 2007 when he authored “Ruberg, Parry and the Classification of Unvested Stock Options.” 

In the Fall, Reuben officiates high school football as a member of the Greater Naples Officials Association, having previously officiated small college football for the NAIA Mid-South and Sun Conferences.

Mr. Doupé was born in Ontario, Canada and raised in Ft. Myers, Florida, then earned his undergraduate degree in Finance with Honors from the University of Miami.
