Our Story

  • J. Michael Coleman and William J. Hazzard begin practicing law together in Naples, Florida, and focus their practices on business, probate and trust litigation. The firm was called Coleman & Hazzard.

  • Damian C. Taylor joins Asbell, Coleman, Ho & Hazzard, after practicing labor and employment law and civil litigation in Pensacola, Florida.

    In the same year, Dale W. Klaus joins Asbell, Coleman, Ho & Hazzard, after serving as an Assistant State Attorney for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit in Collier County, Florida (Naples office).

  • Attorneys Coleman, Hazzard and Taylor join the firm of Conroy, Coleman, & Hazzard, which focuses on real estate law and civil litigation.

    In the same year, Sonia M. Diaz (formerly Sonia Bretzmann) joins the firm as an associate upon graduating from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law.

  • Reuben A. Doupé joins Dale W. Klaus at the family law firm of Asbell & Ho, P.A., both focusing on high asset divorce. By 2010, the firm becomes Klaus Doupé, P.A.

  • Coleman, Hazzard & Taylor, P.A. is formed with Attorney Sonia M. Diaz, serving Southwest Florida in a wide variety of civil litigation matters.

  • Christyna M. Torrez joins the firm as an associate in civil litigation after graduating law school.

  • Sonia M. Diaz becomes a partner at the firm and focuses her practice on civil and business litigation. The firm changes its name to Coleman, Hazzard, Taylor and Diaz, P.A.

  • Christyna M. Torrez is promoted to partner, and William J. Hazzard retires from the firm. In the same year, Sarah Oquendo joins Klaus Doupé, P.A. as an associate attorney.

  • Coleman, Hazzard, Taylor and Diaz, P.A. merges with Naples martial and family law firm, Klaus Doupé, P.A. Partners Dale W. Klaus, Reuben A. Doupé, and associate Sarah Martin Oquendo join the firm. Coleman, Hazzard Taylor, Klaus, Doupé & Diaz, P.A. is created.

  • The firm announces it is changing its name to Coleman, Taylor, Klaus, Doupé, Diaz & Torrez, P.A.

  • Sarah M. Oquendo is promoted to partner at the firm.
